Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day. You shall begin it serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense.
– Ralph Waldo Emerson
I don’t have much to say, friends. I just wanted to check in. Sometimes I forget to be done with each day and acknowledge that I have, indeed, done what I could. I always think I can do more, should do more, could do more. As I begin this new decade, I’m trying to practice letting the day be done and waking up with a high spirit for tomorrow rather than my to-do list first thing in the morning. I’m working really hard on making sure I take the time to appreciate the sunrise, feel the evening breeze, and make sure that I keep up on self-care. Stress gets to all of us and our bodies break down. The only way to keep ahead is to eat right, sleep well, exercise, and do the mindfulness work. I don’t always have it all in balance, but I’m totally going to stop losing sleep over it. Ha!
Wishing you all great health and divine sleep!
